Francesco, Italy

I like being at BSC London. It’s in a very comfortable location. The team at BSC and the teachers are very good. The teachers support you, they have a look at your work to see where you’ve gone right or wrong. It was a good experience and all the people were really friendly.

FAQs

Some frequently asked questions about BSC London.

What can I do in London?

London is full of exciting things to see and do! You can explore world-famous landmarks like Big Ben, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and Buckingham Palace. Visit top museums and galleries such as the British Museum, Tate Modern, and the Natural History Museum, many of which are free.

What is the nearest tube station?

The closest tube station to the school is Chancery Lane, located right outside the building. It’s on the Central Line, which runs through central London and stops at popular destinations like Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road.

Can I get discounted travel?

Yes, students studying with us for 14 weeks or more are eligible for a Student Oyster Card, which we can help authorise. This card gives you 30% off Travelcards on the London Underground and other Transport for London services such as London buses.

Is it cheaper to use an Oyster Card or my bank card to travel?

The fare is the same whether you use a pay-as-you-go Oyster Card or a contactless bank card. However, if you’re using an international bank card, your bank may charge additional fees or apply exchange rates, which could make it slightly more expensive. In that case, using an Oyster Card may be the cheaper option. You can buy an Oyster card at any London Underground station or from selected corner shops (often called Oyster ticket stops). The card costs £7, and you’ll need to top it up with credit or a Travelcard to use it for travel.

What are the accommodation options in London?

Yes, we offer two types of accommodation: Mannequin House – our student residence offering en-suite, student-halls-style rooms with a shared kitchen. Host Family – stay with a local London family for a more immersive cultural experience.

Can I join a gym whilst I'm studying in the UK?

Yes, many gyms in London offer pay-as-you-go or short-term memberships, so you can work out without committing to a long-term contract. This is a flexible option if you’re only staying for a few weeks or months.

Is the school wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately there is no lift in our London school. Our building is one of the few that survived the Great Fire of London and is now a listed building with significant historical value. Because of its protected status, we are unable to obtain planning permission to install a lift.
