How much does a ‘Scot rail’ railcard cost and who can get one?
The Young Scot National Entitlement Card is completely free of charge for anyone aged 11-26 years old living in Scotland. The card itself is not a railcard, but it provides access to the Scottish Youth Railcard discounts for eligible young people.
What is the most beautiful place to visit in Edinburgh?
There are lots of really beautiful places here in Edinburgh, these are just a few: The Royal Botanical Gardens, Arthur’s Seat, the Waters of Leith, Calton Hill and Cramond Beach.
Where can I do my IELTS test in Edinburgh?
For an in-person IELTS test in Edinburgh, your main options are the Basil Paterson Open Test Centre or Edinburgh College. You also have the choice to take the Academic test remotely via IELTS Online if your recognizing institution accepts it. There are no centres that do the paper test in Edinburgh, if you wish to do a paper-based IELTS test you might need to go to Glasgow for the day.
How is best to travel around Edinburgh?
Walking and cycling are probably the fastest options for travelling in the city centre, but Edinburgh is very hilly so be aware of that if you are planning to cycle! Bus and tram services are available also, but can be unreliable.
Where is Arthur’s Seat?
Arthur’s Seat is located in Holyrood Park, at the end of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. It is the highest point in the city and is an ancient volcano, offering excellent views of the surrounding area.
Where is the nearest shopping centre to the school?
The nearest shopping centre to BSC Edinburgh is The St. James’s Quarter, which has all your big shops there. However, there are hundreds of shops on Princess Street, which is where most people do their shopping.
