What if I have no teaching experience?
Don’t worry if you’ve never taught before – our skilled teacher trainers will guide you through the process and you will be able to have hands on teaching practice.
With our specialist teacher trainers located in our Manchester and York colleges for those studying in person, you are guaranteed to have access to expert experience and make immediate progress.
If you choose to study online, your teacher trainers will help guide you through this method of teaching and lessons will include support for when you work with students online. It is really important to build a sense of empathy and and rapport when working online. Patience is also a huge advantage!
What networking options are there?
People who choose to study on a CELTA course come from a huge variety of backgrounds. This means lots of opportunities for collaboration, as well as starting to create a support network of fellow teachers. This is something that will be useful for the rest of your teaching career!
This course provided me incredible opportunities to learn about English learners and English teaching techniques. I enjoyed the observed teaching practice and feedback, and this experience helped me to gain a better understanding of ELT. Working with group is enjoyable as we provide each other feedback and support each other.
